The Govan Fairfield Burns Club (No.53) was instituted on 25th January 1886. It joined the Burns Federation about 1891/92 and lapsed in 1965, after the membership dwindled considerably.
This chain was adopted in November 1998 by the Glasgow and District Burns Association as its presidential chain of office.
